OT treatment targets:
- Fine
motor grasp skill such as pincer grasp with small
objects/writing grasp
- Handwriting remediation
- Visual Perceptual skills such as building, finding objects
in a busy background, copying, cutting, and accuracy of
writing strokes
- Ocular motor skills such as tracking a moving object or
locating a target from a moving base (swing)
- Vestibular integration (movement of head against gravity on
suspended equipment to facilitate an adaptive response
within norm ranges)
- Gross motor activities for upper body and trunk
strengthening
- Sensory Processing and regulation of arousal such as heavy
resistive work for calming or vestibular-proprioceptive (see
links to recommended reading for definitions) tasks to
improve low arousal
- Facilitation of attention to work tasks
- Improve oral sensory motor skills/reduce oral sensory
